Vicki Hanson-Burkhart, daughter of a Quilt Artist and a Wood Pattern Maker/Inventor grew up in a home where creativity was encouraged as free expression, thoughtful design and excellence in workmanship. Her love of color, texture and pattern as well as a childlike wonder shine forth through her mosaic art. Her work is an expression of her deep intimacy with God and a narrative of her walk of faith and unfolding revelation of her maker. Layers of symbolism can be found in her pieces allowing the viewer the joy of discovery.
This blog is about seeing that which is hidden; a look at symbolism and metaphor and story as it is unfolding all around us, awakening to things that can help lead us and guide us to truth. Welcome and may your eyes be opened to truly see.
